It’s not unheard of that one of the richest men in the world would buy the most expensive property in the L.A. area, so here it is. The property cost Bezos $160 Million which totals to an eighth of 1% of his total net worth. It spans over 9 Acres of land and features a 9 hole golf course, a swimming pool, a tennis court and yes, a 13,600 square foot Mansion. In other words…a crap ton of land for a crap ton of money. But as they say, if you’ve got it, flaunt it. And that’s exactly what Bezos did here.
The house was originally built by Jack Warner, co-founder of Warner Bros. Studios in the 1930’s. This purchase marks a new record for property sale in the L.A. area. The previous record was held by Lachlan Murdoch, (CEO of the Fox Corporation and son of News Corp. founder Rupert Murdoch) having paid $150 Million for his Bell Air Mansion.
