COVID-19 has run a rampage; not just on the health aspect of the world, but also on the side of businesses and everyday lifestyles. As the world continues to rebuild from all this damage, movie theaters have begun opening in different parts of the world. Chain establishments, like AMC Theaters and Regal Cinema, are opening and promoting offers and deals to both members and non-members. Theaters are now required to enforce a more cleanlier environment; thanks to a sponsorship with Lysol, and visitors are required to enter the theater with masks and sit a seat away from others in the same room. As excited as myself and other moviegoers are about this announcement, take into consideration the drastic changes being done and the extra precautions needed to be done before entering in the first place. If people want a smooth transition into what an old theater experience once was, then they would need to take this seriously and not rush into entering. Visitors should expect a spike in prices for both tickets and concession stand items and expect a longer wait time in entering. With that being said, this is still an exciting step forward in the rebuilding process and I for one can’t wait to go to the lobby, grab a bucket of popcorn, and enjoy a film on the big screen once again.
