New photos recently released by Insomniac Games show the new updates made to the upcoming Spiderman Remastered game for the PS5. The photos depict the new improvements to the graphics making the character Peter Parker to appear more like his Marvel Studios/Sony counterpart: Tom Holland.
In spite of the newly formed resemblance to the “Spiderman: Homecoming” actor, the face model for the character for the new game is revealed to Ben Jordan adding his likeness to the iconic superhero. Jordan has been chosen by Insomniac to replace actor John Bubniak who portrayed Spiderman in the previous 2018 PS4 game.
In spite of some backlash from fans about the change of actors, Insomniac defended their decision to do so by stating that Ben Jordan’s facial features work better with the voice of Yuri Lowenthal than previous actor John Bubniak. This was especially defended in regards to the move towards the PS5 and the move away from the graphics of the PS4.
In addition to the change of Peter Parker face model, the game will feature new upgrades such as the 60 frames per second performance option. This is an upgrade from the preceding PS4 game that performed at 30 frames per second. This would allow players to run the game at a 4k optimization.
The game is set to be released on November 12th and will be released alongside the PS5. The sequel, Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be released on November 19th.
