KAWS: He Eats Alone, is a newly released Clothbound highlights book from Qatar Museums and Silvana Editoriale. The book focuses on the designer, Brian Donnelly’s first Middle Eastern Exhibition that ended on January 25th, 2020. This exhibition was shown in Doha, Qatar at its Fire Station Museum.
The exhibition featured 40+ paintings by KAWS, as well as paintings and sculptures from over the past 2 decades. That, with the added bonus of a series of the designer’s collaborations and his counterparts.
It’s also worth mentioning that since the beginning of Donnelly’s career spanning all the way back to the 90’s his designs have been used by various creators, making toys & figurines, skateboards and even complete fashion campaigns. That’s not counting the many canvass art pieces and sculptures that have sold at various exhibitions for millions of dollars. All of these are included in this 322 page clothbound book. An essay by the Italian art critic, curator and art historian, Germano Celant is also included in the book.
The book is available for $65 at this link: https://www.artbook.com/9788836645602.html
