Mel Gibson and Saban Films set out to create the Christmas themed Action-Comedy that we may as well compare to the cartoon gun toting Santa of South Park or American Dad. The movie is called “Fatman” and the trailer has just been released.
The description of the film according to IGN is: “To save his declining business, Chris Cringle (Mel Gibson), also known as Santa Claus, is forced into a partnership with the U.S. military. Making matters worse, Chris gets locked into a deadly battle of wits against a highly skilled assassin (Walton Goggins), hired by a precocious 12-year-old after receiving a lump of coal in his stocking.”
The trailer for the film has us looking at what we may have initially expected from fellow action star Kurt Russell in 2018’s The Christmas Chronicles before it’s release on Netflix. Though from what we can see from the trailer, as well as its description, Fatman will undoubtedly be a roller coaster of WTF’s.
This rather unorthodox Christmas movie will be in select theaters on November 13 and on digital release on November 17.
