The Auction house Sotheby’s has been making headlines recently with it’s showcases featuring the likes of Tracey Emin, Virgil Abloh and Prada, has decided to launch a Sneaker store of its own. The store will be a “buy it now” online retailer consisting of rare shoes from the collection of Shoezeum. Despite Sotheby being synonymous with auctions.
The store is simply called “The Sneakers Shop”. It will feature game worn, as well as signed sneakers. It will also include rare modern releases. The sneakers for sale that stand out from the rest are the Tinker Hatfeild-signed Air Max 1’s, Michael Jordan’s game-worn/signed Air Jordan 7’s and the 1972 Nike Moon Shoe.
Though as attractive as these sneakers will be to many sports and/or sneaker fans, the vast majority of the shoes have a $150,000 and above price range. Still, there will be a small collection of shoes that would be available for only a few hundred dollars.
The Sneakers Shop will also feature a various amount of accessories that includes a 1970’s Blue Ribbon Sports bag.
