As compared to the rent prices of last year, the rates have seen a 8.1% decrease in the rents in central London. The rents in outer London were decreased by 6.9%. It is mainly due to the high levels of supply when faced with very weak demand.
The travelling decrease due to restrictions has also played its part in this as there are now very less students and corporate tenants and other parties that would have been contenders for renters. Many others have been forced to leave their city rented homes due to pandemic and move to their originating regions.
