Young Dolph is facing a lawsuit coming from Ex-Army Sergeant Akeisha Norris. Norris claims that Dolph shared a viral video of her twerking to his music, which was later found by her superior officers and led to her being fired and subsequently having a mental breakdown.
The video was posted in September of 2018 and showed Norris in uniform dancing to one of Dolph’s tracks. Dolph later put the video on his website leading up to his release of “Role Model”. Following the post, Norris’ superior officers in the Army National Guard relieved her of her duties as a Sergeant while active in Kuwait and she was sent back to the U.S.
Norris’ lawyer, Keith Altman stated the following: “[Norris] was called before her superior officers and disciplined, leading to a mental breakdown. As a result, she was sent back to the United States and dismissed from the military,” Norris is seeking punitive and financial damages for invasion of privacy, as well as intentional infliction of emotional distress.
