Music lovers rejoice!
The newest update unveiled by Google allows you to identify the song that’s been stuck in your head simply by humming it! The new software update will now be significantly easier to locate and put a name to. The name of the software is “hum to search” and this new sophisticated technology will remove the everyday struggle of remembering or even just figuring out the name of that song that we know, but just can’t put our finger on.
The user will be able to hum, sing or whistle in order to use the feature. Th sarch is activated by a microphone icon and can be located in the Google Search widget or the Google mobile app. Google assistant can also be used by asking “What’s this song” then hum, sing or whistle. The function supports over 20 languages with plans to add more languages in the near future. This new softwar innovation from Google places pressure on competitors i.e. Shazam, which has yet to reveal a “hum to search” function as of yet.
