Though based on the Arkham Horror universe, Mother’s Embrace endeavors to tell an original story that will feature turn-based combat as players face off with “curious science, living nightmares, and a sinister cult.
Artefacts Studio and Asmodee Digital have just announced the new game “Arkham Horror: Mother’s Embrace”. The game will be based on and named after the board game series. The game will be available for Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PC in 2021, retailing for $19.99.
Asmodee has also confirmed that the game is the new name for the prior unveiled game Mansions Of Madness: Mother’s Embrace. The game is set in the Lovcraftian universe and includes investigations, RPG squad-based combat and explorations of the game’s universe. The plot is as follows:
The year is 1926, and a professor of astronomy is found dead in her mansion, the apparent victim of a heinous murder. Players must pick from 12 of the most iconic protagonists from the Arkham Horror universe, each with a unique skill set, and assemble a team of investigators to uncover the secrets behind this mysterious death.
