Legal documents received by TMZ state that rapper Rich The Kid is the subject of a lawsuit filed by Fashion Nova for an alleged breach of contract. The endorsement deal made with Rich back in 2018 is the subject the contract concerns. Fashion Nova makes the claim that they paid Rich $100,000 in advance for promotions from the rapper. These promotions include social media shout-outs as well as a shout-out in at lease 1 of his songs.
Based on the agreement, Rich was supposed to do these promotions between October & December of 2018, though he didn’t come through. This inaction resulted in the brand taking on a huge financial loss and is suing Rich for $2.1 million in damages. Following the announcement of the lawsuit, Rich chose to post this on Instagram:
“Shit is crazy mothafuckas tryna sue a n***a left and right,” he posted. “It’s time for us to promote ownership not that slave shit.”
This isn’t the first time that Rich has been sued for contract violation. In February. Rich was involved in a $3.5 million lawsuit for breach of contract and later settled out of court for $1.1 million.
