For the much-anticipated Zach Snyder cut of the Justice League film, set to be a 4-episode miniseries on HBO Max, it may come as a surprise to many that Jared Leto, following his…less than innovative tenure as The Joker in 2016’s Suicide Squad, will reprise his role as Gotham’s “Clown Prince Of Crime”. This will broaden the role that The Joker plays in the overall DC Extended Universe.
Zach Snyder was originally set to direct and produce the movie, but left before the film was completed for personal reasons. Though Justice League: The Snyder Cut will allow fans to see Snyder’s completed vision of the iconic Superhero teme come to life. Joss Wheaton of The Avengers movie served as Snyder’s replacement on the film which cut out a great deal of Snyder’s lines and will repace much of Wheaton’s directed scenes in addition to revamped visuals.
The Snyder Cut will also see Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Henry Cavill and Ray Fisher reprising their roles as well for the reshoots with the production cost being around $70 million USD. The Snyder cut is set to be released at some point in 2021.
