On Friday, the former “Friends” actress, Jennifer Aniston posted on Instagram that she has opted for early voting, joining millions of other Americans who have chosen absentee ballots in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The photo Aniston posted has her sending her absentee ballot in a public mailbox alongside a rather lengthy caption.
Aniston revealed her decision to support former Vice President Joe Biden and oppose both President Donald Trump and write in candidate Kanye West.
“… Our current President has decided that racism is a non-issue. He has repeatedly and publicly ignored science… too many people have died,” she posted. “I urge you to really consider who is going to be most affected by this election if we stay on the track we’re on right now … your daughters, the LGBTQ+ community, our Black brothers and sisters, the elderly with health conditions, and your future kids and grandkids (who will be tasked with saving a planet that our leadership refuses to believe is hurting).” She went on to say: “This whole thing isn’t about one candidate or one single issue, it’s about the future of this country and of the world. Vote for equal human rights, for love, and for decency.”
“PS – It’s not funny to vote for Kanye. I don’t know how else to say it. Please b responsible”
Kanye has struggled to gain traction as a viable candidate for the upcoming election but has still been able to appear on the ballot in states such as Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Utah, and Vermont. The bulk of his campaign is built on his write-in candidacy.
