It’s been announced by CD Projekt Red via Twitter that the highly anticipated game, Cyberpunk 2077 will be delayed (again) for another 21 days. The new set release date is December 10, 2020. CD Projekt Red also mentioned on the post about how much they have to deal with in order to ship the game across 2 generations of hardware, as well as 9 different consoles.
The co founders of CD Projekt Red Marcin Iwinski & Adam Badowski said this in an official statement :
“The biggest challenge for us right now is shipping the game on current-gen, next-gen, and PC at the same time, which requires us to prepare and test 9 version of it,”
The launch platforms consist of, Stadia, Xbox One/X, PS4/Pro, Xbox Series X/S, PC, PS5 and PS5m. The co founders also said that Cyberpunk 2077 was “almost a next-gen title” and that it took a great deal of hard work to get “every version” of the game to run smoothly across all consoles. They also added: “We’re aware it might seem unrealistic when someone says that 21 days can make any difference in such a massive and complex game, but they really do,”

The game was originally scheduled for an April 16th release, then was rescheduled to September 17th, November 19th and now, December 10th. How annoying.
