It might come as a surprise to many fans of the Assassins creed series, following 2016’s flop of an Assassins Creed adaptation that Ubisoft & Netflix have made the decision to team up for an Assassins Creed TV series. The news of this comes only a few weeks prior to the upcoming Assassins Creed: Valhalla installment.
The series to be released on the popular streaming platform will be a live action TV adaptation of the game series. With regards to casting, no announcements have been made, however it was announced that , attached to the project will be Ubisoft’s Danielle Kreinik and Jason Altman will act as executive producers. it was also announced that the adaptations will not end with the live-action series, as they seek to make and anime & animated series as well.
Jason Altman had this to say about the project: “For more than 10 years, millions of fans around the world have helped shape the Assassin’s Creed brand into an iconic franchise,” he continued with “We’re thrilled to create an Assassin’s Creed series with Netflix, and we look forward to developing the next saga in the Assassin’s Creed universe.”
The announcement did not include any other info or details on a release date.
