Star Wars & Inside Llewin Davis actor Oscar Isaac is reportedly in talks with Marvel Studios to be the main protagonist in its upcoming Moon Knight series coming to Disney+. The show will be produced by The Umbrella Academy’s Jeremy Slater.
Marvel is still looking for a director for the project but given that Marvel Studios is already working on several different shows, it’s be hard to say who they’ll get. Moon Knight has been called in the past The Batman of Marvel Comics. The character’s secret identity is former boxer, mercenary & CIA agent called Marc Spector. Moon Knight’s story starts after his employer, Raoul Bushman betrays him and leaves him in a near-death state. Spector is then visited by Khonshu, the Egyptian moon God. He offers Spector a second chance in exchange for being the God’s on earth avatar. Then resurrected, Spector finds out he has been given superpowers. Returning to the U.S. he chooses to invest his money from acting as a mercenary to make more money to fund his crimefighting actions as Moon Knight.
The Moon Knight series is expected to be released on Disney+ at some point in 2022 alongside the Ms. Marvel, Hawkeye and She-Hulk series.
