It looks like the popular games BloodRayne and BloodRayne 2 will be getting enhancements that will be released on GOG and Steam on Nov. 20th, 2020, according to an announcement from Ziggurat Interactive. The enhancements will be called the “Terminal Cuts” and will feature updates to the iconic games. The story in the first game follows a red-headed dhampir (Human/Vampire hybrid) who seeks to stop a madman from using occult relics to bring back the Third Reich. The second installment introduces the dhampir’s siblings who seek to build an era of Vampire supremacy.
Updates will include upscaled cinematics, improved rendering with up to 4x anti-aliasing, higher display resolutions (up to 4K/3830×2160) and much more. The game was originally released in 2002 with BloodRayne 2 coming out in 2004. In 2011, the third installment, BloodRayne: Betrayal was released but didn’t see many sales leading to another 3DS game being delayed for an indefinite amount of time.
No information was given as to whether or not the enhancements will be available on the current or upcoming next-generation consoles.
