This year, the name on everyone’s collaboration list was Travis Scott. He’s revealed partnerships this year with giants such as McDonalds and Sony. However it seems that he may be hitting the brakes given his recent leave from the popular social media site Instagram.
On Sunday, Scott’s Instagram was deactivated. Due to this recently announced partnership with PlayStation, Sony would likely have been opposed to Scott deactivating his account, given that it’s only a few days away from the official release of the PS5 on November 12th. That, and the fact that he’s only worked on one launch commercial for PS5 so far.
It is still uncertain as to whether or not he will ever get back on or why he did it. Though he has in the past, teased his upcoming album Utopia, which will be the follow up of his previous album Astroworld. It isn’t uncommon for musicians to deactivate or remove their IG accounts prior to a new project. It would make sense given that his No. 1 single “Franchise” was released in September. The last photo Scott shared on IG was his brown Batman costume he wore on Halloween. This led to some speculation that his decision to deactivate his IG account was based on negative feedback on the costume.
Travis Scott’s Twitter account however, is still active.
