Rapper Offset, following his appearance on an episode of the popular crime series NCIS: Los Angeles, has announced his acting role in a feature film in the upcoming film “American Sole. The film, set to star O’Shea Jackson Jr., Pete Davidson and Camila Mendes will follow the story of 2 twenty-something guys who try to make a profit reselling sneakers so they can make their dreams a reality. When things go south (as they often do) “a shady investor is their only way out.”
The film is written by the film’s director Ian Edelman and is produced by Kevin Hart’s production company HartBeat. Offset is also going to be in the position of executive producer for the film’s soundtrack “American Sole: The Soundtrack Album” which features original music from Offset. The rapper will be working with Jason Markey and Ian Edelman in order to build up the album which will also showcase other influential musicians and up-and-coming hip-hop artists.
Offset had this to say in a press release: “This is my first feature film as an actor. After doing NCIS, I knew I wanted to do more acting” He said. “Landing this role in American Sole is dope. Not only do I get to star in the movie, but I get to bring my skills to the table as the curator and Executive Producer for the soundtrack. I’m bringing my world to the big screen. I hope the world is ready.”
