Who Won The 2020 Presidential Election?

The long awaited results of the 2020 U.S. Presidential election are in: Joe Biden is now the 46th President of the United States.

After receiving 284 votes from the Electoral College the former Vice President has officially taken the position from current President Donald Trump and will be sworn in on January 20th next year. His Vice President, Kamala Harris has solidified her position as not only the first female Vice President, but also the first woman of color to take the position of Vice President following her achievement of being the first woman of color to be nominated to a national office by a major political party.

Joe Biden was formerly a U.S. Senator for Delaware from the year 1973-2009 after which he served under former President Barack Obama from 2009-2017 as Vice President. Biden’s running mate, Kamala Harris was formerly a junior U.S. senator from California back in 2017, later taking the title of first South Asian American to serve in the U.S. Senate following her win in the 2016 Senatorial election.
