The much anticipated PS5 Launch game, “Sackboy: A Big Adventure” will not have it’s online multiplayer function available by it’s Nov. 12, 2020 release date, but it will be available in a patch “by the end of 2020”.
According to PlayStation.Blog, the game will still be supporting local co-op on the day of the launch. Despite this the online component is delayed to make sure it “is the very best experience it can be for players and we just need a little more time to get it right so you can enjoy it to the fullest with your friends and family.”
The upcoming online multiplayer patch will also include cross-generation multiplayer to the PS5, as well as PS4 players so they can play together & save the game transferred from PS4 to PS5.
If you will be getting Sackboy: A Big Adventure on the November 12th launch, the game is able to be played with up to 4 players locally or just singleplayer.
