According to sources, Lori, the daughter of comedian Steve Harvey dodged serious jail time in a hit-and run case.
It was stated by Harvey that she accepted a plea deal following her appearance this week in front of a Judge. The deal required Harvey to make a plea of no contest to one count of misdemeanor resisting arrest. She was then effectively sentenced to 2 years of probation, the requirements of which have yet to be unveiled.
Back in January, Lori Harvey was brought up in hit-and-run charges. This was 3 months following her collision between another car and her G-Wagon. She later attempted to escape the scene of the crime. She was later caught by police after the accident, which took place in Beverly Hills. Lori, according to sources then contacted her stepfather Steve Harvey via FaceTime for help talking to authorities.
She was ticketed for the offense instead of being taken into police custody. At the time she was free to return home with the police ruling alcohol out as a factor in the accident with rumors stating that it was the result of distracted driving. Nobody was injured as a result of the incident in spite of the fact that Harvey’s vehicle was flipped over due to the collision.
