E-Tron vehicles, according to a statement from Audi released earlier this year, will be getting the full-bodied RS treatment. Now we can see they’ve done just that with Audi’s RS e-Tron GT. The RS e-Tron GT is expected to compete with Porsche’s Taycan Turbo S, as well as Tesla’s Model S with its performance statistics, 4-door size and its expected price point.
Not much information has been released on the electric car, though it’s expected to be released in Spring of next year. What IS known is what the car will deliver on, in addition to the look of the car. The car will have a 83.7 kWh battery, using the same drive train that’s used in Porsche’s Taycan Turbo S. This produces 589 HP with an over-boost function that hits 637 HP, alongside 612 lb-ft of torque.
This car will be the fastest accelerating RS model created by Audi and goes from 62 MPH to a full stop in below 3.5 seconds. That is in spite of the 2.3 tonne weight of the car. Since the car is an RS model, Audi has additionally included air suspension, all-wheel steering and controlled damping. Audi also includes fast charging capability and large brakes.
