Rumors suggesting that the highly anticipated CD Projekt Red game Cyberpunk 2077 will be delayed again have been addressed by the developers, saying that they deny any further delays and that the game will indeed be released on Dec. 10 of this year. A representative from CD Projekt Red stated that “As a rule, we don’t comment on rumors or speculation,” he continued with, “But I will confirm we were just taking time to update all of our assets to reflect the new launch date of December 10th.”
This statement from the developers comes following rumprs suggesting that Cyberpunk 2077 will be delayed again to 2021 given that its already faced 3 separate delays. According to developers, the cause of the most recent delay (from Nov. 19th – Dec. 10th, 2020) is that they are working on optimizing the game across 9 separate consoles both current generation & next generation in addition to the PC.
The official twitter for the game also posted confirmation that the game will indeed be released on Dec. 10th.
