It looks like rapper Bad Bunny is coming to the small screen making his acting debut on the third season of Narcos: Mexico.
According to reports, Bunny is set to play Arturo “Kitty” Paez who is a member of the gang Narco Juniors, the head of which is played by Manuel Maslava in the role of Ramon Arellano Felix. The gang, as per a press release will be made up of “rich, well-connected kids from upper society who fell in with the cartel life for the money, drugs, and violence.”
The information comes from Bad Bunny himself in an interview in May of 2020 where he gave word of his involvement in the Netflix series. Prior to the pandemic, Bunny stated that he already shot some scenes for the show.
The third season of Narcos: Mexico is set to be taking place in the 90’s and focuses on “the war that breaks out after Felix’s empire splinters.” during the globalization of the drug business. The season will outline “a new generation of Mexican kingpins” alongside a war where “truth is the first casualty—and every arrest, murder, and take-down only pushes real victory further away.”
No premiere date has been announced even though production has resumed.
