According to sources, an Apple vehicle that was packed with $6.6 million USD+ in Apple products was robbed recently on the M1 highway in Northamptonshire, England.
The Law Enforcement in Northamptonshire stated that the time of the robbery was roughly between 7:45 P.M. – 8 P.M. GMT when the security guard & driver of the truck were bound and restrained. The officers were quoted as saying the thieves “drove off leaving the lorry driver and security guard behind,” and later headed towards Eldon Close in Crick wherein the goods were transported to a different truck.
The thieves were reported to have stolen 48 pallets which were comprised of Apple Watches, iPhone 11s and AirPods. The truck where the products were transported to was later on found in Lutterworth, Leicestershire. It is believed by law enforcement that the products were also transferred to a 3rd vehicle. The perpetrators though, may be incapable to take advantage of what they stole since Apple has kept detailed track of its shipments and closely tracks its serial numbers. The devices may also get disabled due to an activation lock that is assigned to IMEI numbers.
