With less than a week to go before the reboot of Saved By The Bell, Peacock, the streaming service for NBCUniversal, has just dropped the new version of the theme song from rapper Lil Yachty.
The original theme song was performed by Michael Damian for the show which ranf from 1989-1993, for a total of 4 seasons. Lil Yachty’s version of the song provides an updated flair to the show which also marks the official return of Tiffani Theissen, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Elizabeth Berkley and Mario Lopez to their roles from the original series alongside newcoming cast members. Following her announcement that she felt “slighted andhurt” by the Saved By The Bell reboot announcement , Lark Voorhies will also be reprisng her role as Lisa Turtle.

Currently it’s not known how major her role will be in the reboot series, though it’s great to know that both parties have come to a resolution. Gosselar is reportedly making his return as California Governor Zach Morris who proposes a plan that involves moving students that were impacted by Morris’ decision to close too many lower income high schools.
Bayside High is one of those high schools gaining an influx of new students. Bayside High is also where A.C. Slater (Mario Lopez) is a gym teacher, Jessie Spano (Elizabeth Berkley) works as a guidance counselor and is attended by Zach and Kelly’s son Mac.
The reboot is set to be released on November 25th on Peacock. You can check out the song down below:
