Chairman of Disney Parks, Experience and Products Josh D’Amaro gave visitors a teaser of what’s to come in 2021 at the IAAPA Expo: Virtual Education Conference.
The attractions shown include Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, an Avengers Campus located at Disneyland & Disneyland Paris as well as Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Those most likely pale in comparison to the newest hotel that they featured: Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel at Walt Disney World Resort down in Florida.
When the guests arrive at the hotel, they’ll be carried onto a starship taking them through the galaxy and to their rooms for a 2-day 2-night stay that features a “trip” to last year’s newest attraction, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Due to the pandemic, the news comes as bittersweet, especially since Disney resorts laid off around 28,000 employees based on its financial impact. According to sources 67% of the workers that were laid off were working there part-time.
