According to sources, some of the team members that were behind the Jump Street Films and The LEGO Movie namely, Channing Tatum, Chris Miller and Phil Lord are reuniting for a new “tongue-in-cheek thriller,” that is “inspired by Universal’s classic monster legacy.”
Sources report that Miller and Lord will be set to be producing and Tatum ill be the star of the currently untitled monster movie that will reportedly be a modernized comedic parody of one or more of the classic Universal Studios Monsters (Frankenstein’s Monster, Dracula, The Mummy, etc). Currently no further details on the plot are available.
Wes Tooke of the film Midway is set to pen the script, while the original idea for the concept & treatment came from Reid Carolin, who produced Magic Mike and Channing Tatum’s directorial debut film, Dog.
