Last week, Aquaman star Jason Momoa gave Aquaman superfan, 7-year-old Danny Sheehan a huge surprise when the Game of Thrones star showed up to meet him via FaceTime.
Momoa made the decision to reach out to the boy after a video of Sheehan went viral where he received an Aquaman action figure. According to sources Sheehan has a rare form of brain cancer called pineoblastoma having received the diagnosis in 2017 and has been combating the sickness alongside his friends, family and community.
Sheehan was heard saying in the viral video “I love Aquaman!” stating the superhero was his favorite character. Part of the conversation between both Sheehan and Momoa was posted to Instagram with the caption: “So I just wanted to say thank you to the community, friends, and family on Instagram for reaching out and showing me this beautiful boy Danny, who is going through chemo and has cancer,” Momoa continued with He continued, “I saw his video online that made me want to get in touch and FaceTime him and spend some time talking to him. The Facebook page 4TheLoveofDanny which is dedicated to Sheehan posted their own video featuring Momoa’s FaceTime conversation having posted: , “Thank you for making this call and for making Danny the happiest little boy ever—he can’t wait to ride dolphins with #AQUAMAN!! And a huge thank you to everyone who shared D’s video and made the seemingly impossible of him meeting his superhero hero totally possible! My mom heart is bursting with joy, thankfulness, and love.”
