The monolithic Super Nintendo World theme park project from Universal Studios Japan is finally gaining its shape. A new photo that was released by the Sankei News, features a clear visual of the nearly completed theme park.

The bottom left corner of th park shows Princess Peach’s castle, along with Toad’s house with many different structures that makes reference to the game stages upon entry. In the far distance Bowser’s castle is visible. Coin blocks, tunnels, mushrooms, scaffolding holes, trees, Piranha Plants and a wide range Super Mario inspired landscapes. The polygonal design from Nintendo 64 is featured on a Mario Kart ride inside an ice level “MARIO MOTORS”. Other quirky structures are also included that add many inspiring sights of the long awaited theme park.
The Super Nintendo World from Universal Studios Japan will be opening during the spring of 2021, prior to the now rescheduled Olympic games.
