The long held debate about the house rule that says that a player must say “UNO Out” when using their last card.
The answer according to UNO itself, players are not required to say the sometimes tedious 2 words. The game clarified on the game’s official Twitter as a response to a tweet from NBA player Donovan Mitchell saying:
Do you have to say uno out when you play your last card in @realUNOgame ??? Heated debate rn wit the fam 😂😂

The tweet which featured a poll saying that 62% of voters said yes was rebutted by the game itself responding with:
While calling "UNO Out" when you play your last card is a popular House Rule, it's not required.
🗣 UNO has spoken.

Even though many fans of UNO still agree with the house rule being a requirement one of those responses to UNO being:
Yall don't know how to play your own damn game

What the game says is final, but it probably won’t change the house rules anytime soon. So play the game as you see fit.
