What Did Alex Trebek Say In His Thanksgiving Message?

Following the death of beloved game show host Alex Trebek, it comes as a shine of light to see that Trebek released a hopeful message to fans of Jeopardy! filmed prior to his passing.

He took a minute to greet and remind America to “keep the faith” saying: “Happy Thanksgiving, ladies and gentlemen. You know, in spite of what America and the rest of the world is experiencing right now, there are many reasons to be thankful.” He continued with “There are more and more people extending helpful hands to do a kindness to their neighbors, and that’s a good thing,” said Trebek. “Keep the faith. We’re going to get through all of this and we’re going to be a better society because of it.”

Following his ongoing battle with pancreatic cancer, he passed away on Nov. 8th 2020. He acted as host for Jeopardy! for 36 years between 1984 and 2020 and heading up 7,000+ episodes of the show. The unaired episodes of Jeopardy! will continue to premiere until Dec. 25th.
