Jim Ryan CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed in an interview with Russian news channel TASS that every available PS5 console has been sold out which left many who desired to buy the console following the release which occurred earlier this month, disappointed. Though it has just been announced that more of the PS5 consoles are in production and will be made available in stores by year’s end and in time for the holidays.
The company took to Twitter to make the announcement:
We want to thank gamers everywhere for making the PS5 launch our biggest console launch ever. Demand for PS5 is unprecedented, so we wanted to confirm that more PS5 inventory will be coming to retailers before the end of the year – please stay in touch with your local retailers.

Still, there’s no clear timeline on when the new shipment of consoles will be arriving with the exception of “before the end of the year”. That being the case, it was recommended by Sony that customers should keep in touch with retailers for new updates.
There is also currently no info with regards to how many consoles will be released. Both Sony and Microsoft have stated that their next-generation consoles have seen their biggest launch to date. With the overwhelming demand it’s also been stated by Microsoft that it’s Series X console will be experiencing supply shortages all the way through to April of 2021.
