Kanye West and SAINt JHN have teamed up once again for their latest collab single titled “Smack DVD”.
The track, which runs at a little under 3-mins gets its name from the Streets Music Art Culture & Knowledge video mag, which became a major outlet for hip-hop related news & info. The track has Yeezy talking about a call with the (unspecified) President, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, West’s wife Kim Kardashian-West and the Mayor (assumedly Greg Fischer) about the 26-year old ER technician Breona Taylor, who was shot and killed by Louisville Police Officers in her home back in March of 2020.
The single was also released alongside a visual showing SAINt JHN throwing his money all over a club. During a clip where Kanye raps, the screen turns black featuring a message reading: “Kanye did not approve this video. This might be his first time watching it right now. Kanye if you’re watching please raise your right hand. Your part is almost over it was a great verse. Can I get some Yeezys in a color way for not a cult.”
The release of “Smack DVD” follows shortly following SAINt JHN’s full-release of “WHILE THE WORLD WAS BURNING” that included appearances from Lil Uzi Vert, DaBaby, Future, 6LACK and many others.
