It’s been reported that at the age of 25, rapper Lil Yase, real name Mark Antonyyo Alexander, has been shot and killed.
The rapper’s death was first reported back on Saturday with friends of his posting tributes to the late rapper via social media. The rapper’s label, Highway 240 Productions confirmed that the incident occurred via Instagram on Saturday saying: “We appreciate all the love and support. Yase loved his fans, he worked every day for y’all. We have hundreds of songs coming for you. Please repost and share let the world know who the ‘Top Dog’ is …”
Bay Area Police have not provided confirmation of Yase’s death as of yet, though sources say that he was fatally shot in the southern part of the East Bay area. This news raised questions around the rapper’s friend group who say that the rapper was last seen alive on Friday night at the recording studio down in Marin County, which is a few miles away from where Yase’s body was found. It’s also been stated by sources that the rapper told his inner circle he would be returning to them following he left from the studio before midnight. Roughly and hour and a half later, his friends heard about the fatal shooting. Additionally, sources mak the claim that he had no known enemies, nor were they in the know about any issues that would have resulted in his death.
