According to sources, 11 Primark stores have been confirmed to be opening and staying open for a full 24 hours following the restrictions becoming lifted in the U.K. from December 2nd onwards.
With the holiday season coming into full swing, shoppers are seeking out must-haves and Christmas gifts. The bargain clothing franchise is has the goal to extend the opening hours wherever possible in order to accommodate the Christmas rush throughout the U.K.
Primark locations Birmingham Fort, Bluewater, Charlton, Gateshead Metrocentre, Lakeside, Leeds White Rose, Meadowhall, Stratford, Trafford, White City and York Monks Cross will all have a 24-hour opening from 7am on Wednesday Dec. 2nd until regular closing time on Thursday Dec. 3rd.
Chief executive of Primark, Paul Marchant had this to say in a statement: “We are delighted to re-open our stores in England on 2 December, with longer shopping hours to give our customers more time to safely do their festive shopping,” Said Marchant. “We have everything this season that our customers expect from Primark, including our famous Christmas jumpers, festive pyjamas and much, much more.”
The Primark stores will be opening till at least 8pm on weekdays up until Dec. 23rd, according to Primark. The outlets in shopping centers are expected to stay open later, up till 10pm with other locations staying out till midnight.
