Last year Kōhei Horikoshi, creator of the manga series, “My Hero Academia” stated that a third film installment wouldn’t happen because the second movie already used one of the final battle’s main plots. Now, it appears that that third installment is on its way.
The news comes from this year’s 52nd issue of Weekly Shonen Jump from Shueisha. Same as prior installments, the chief supervisor will be Horikoshi in addition to acting as the original character designer. The movie is expected for a release some time in summer of 2021. Currently the storyline details have yet to be announced, though the official Twitter for My Hero Academia made a series of posts that combine to say “He will meet ‘The Three Musketeers’.”
Following the ending of the 4th season of the manga, season 5 is slated for a spring 2021 release.
