Earl of East, a British lifestyle brand based in London, known for its bathroom products, homewares, candles and fragrances has just unveiled thie newest project called BookWorkShop.
The Earl of East BookWorkShop is located adjacent to its flagship store located in Coal Drops Yard, London, with the development was assisted by the interior design and furniture studio, Fred Rigby. The store is built for sustainability and showcases a scaffolding system of shelves, that currently serves as bespoke cobalt blue bookshelves at the BookWorkShop. Additionally, the BookWorkShop is designed in light of the pandemic, and is made to be Coronavirus-safe, for the sake of hosting events and workshops.
Inside of the store, there is a selection of magazines that from across several genres that include architecture, culture, design, fashion, indie, travel and many others. The selection has been curated in partnership with Gestalten and will sell titles such as Apartamento, Cereal, Fantastic Man, Frankie, Kinfolk, Lost In, Milk Magazine, Monocle and many other indie titles published by Gestalten.
Paul Firmin, the co-founder of Earl of East had this to say about the new store: “We believe in physical retail now more than ever. Nothing beats seeing a book or magazine in real-life, discovering a new scent, or having a conversation with someone in-store.”
