According to reports, a man in Taiwan was forced by his wife to sell his PS5 after she found out that the man had lied to her saying the console was an air purifier.
The news comes from a man named Jin Wu who was the one who bought the PS5 from the man in question. The interaction was outlined by Wu, who claims that following an agreement to buy a PS5 from a reseller in-person, he called the reseller expecting to hear from a man. To Wu’s surprise he heard a woman pick up the phone.
Following his interaction with the woman Wu could gather that she had very little knowledge of the PlayStation 5 but was determined to sell it, even for an outrageously low price. Wu wasn’t specific as to how low she went but considering the Digital Edition of the PS5 costs $399 USD while the Ultra HD Blu-ray disc edition costs $499 USD. Upon arrival at their agreed to pick up location, Wu was met by a middle aged man and the 2 of them conversed about how he was able to get a hold of such an in demand product. Wu asked the question: “Did you buy two? Otherwise, why are you selling it?,” the man was silent before responding with “My wife wants to sell it”.
“I went silent after seeing the look in his eyes. I could feel his pain,” Wu said whn describing the increasingly awkward conversation. The man then stated: “It turns out that women can tell the difference between a PS5 and an air filter.”
