Mario Lopez Is Starring In A…What? As…Who?

When it comes to the comedic world of KFC advertizing, it seems like nothing should be surprising, especially after the KFC sunscreen released a while ago, but they still have some ideas up their sleeves with their upcoming soap opera style “Mini-Movie” starring Mario Lopez as Colonel Sanders himself to premiere on lifetime early next week.

As unlikely as that sounds, its 100% true with the “Mini-Movie” titled: A Recipe for Seduction. The teaser for the commercial features the Saved By The Bell star as a seductive chef that is stuck in a love triangle with a jealous husband seeking to gain access to a secret recipe that can “change the world”.

As with most soap operas the situation escalates dramatically leaving us with only a few images of the husband holding a knife to what we are led to believe is a bound Colonel Sanders. Th movie’s premise is stated as: “As the holidays draw near, a young heiress contends with the affections of a suitor handpicked by her mother. When the handsome chef, Harland Sanders, arrives with his secret fried chicken recipe and a dream, he sets in motion a series of events that unravels the mother’s devious plans. Will our plucky heiress escape to her wintry happily ever after with Harland at her side, or will she cave to the demands of family and duty?”

If you’re interested in watching this peculiar installment in the long line of KFC advertisements, you can see the 15-minute short film on Lifetime with some “finger lickin’ good” KFC Fried Chicken this Sunday Dec. 13th at 12:00 p.m. EST. In the meantime you can see the trailer down below:
