What Should You Expect From Black Mirror Creator’s 2020 Documentary?

As it was announced a few weeks ago, the creators of Black Mirror, Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones are providing their creative perspectives on the year 2020 and many have considered 2020 as the worst year in modern history with the upcoming Netflix title, “Death to 2020”.

The film has the goal of acting as a “cathartic comedy event” while also being summarized as “a landmark documentary-style special”. The film will also include a myriad of stars such as Hugh Grant, Kumail Nanjiani, Samson Kayo, Diane Morgan, Samuel L. Jackson, Lisa Kudrow, Tracey Ulman, Leslie Jones, Joe Keery of Stranger Things and Cristin Milioti of Black Mirror’s “USS Callister” episode.

The official Netflix description reads as follows: “2020: A year so [insert adjective of choice here], even the creators of Black Mirror couldn’t make it up… but that doesn’t mean they don’t have a little something to add,” said Netflix. “Death to 2020 is a comedy event that tells the story of the dreadful year that was — and perhaps still is?”

Hugh Grant also delivered more info about his role in the movie in a recent interview:  “It’s for Netflix, and I am a historian who’s being interviewed about the year. I’m pretty repellent, actually! And you’ll like my wig,”
