Iconic American fashion brand Ralph Lauren is growing its automotive collection with its newly sized version of its iconic chronograph, placing it between its 45mm & 39mm versions.
The watch is sized at 42mm for greater wrist compatibility and comes with either a black-toned finish or the standard stainless steel finish and includes a solid bracelet in addition to a black leather strap for casual and formal occasions respectively. The standout part of the watch is the Amboya burl bezel that draws inspiration from the wood trims found on racecars with an emphasis on the steering wheels.
The rest of the dial is blacked out and have the patinated number indexes swapped out only at the 3o’clock & 9o’clock chronograph counters in addition to the Ralph Lauren “RL” logo at the 12 o’clock location. The watch is powered with an RL751A/1 automatic movement that has been exclusively made at Jaeger-LeCoultre for Ralph Lauren. Based on Ralph Lauren’s caliber 751, the movement works at 4Hz and features a reserve power of 65 hours.
Bothe versions of the Ralph Lauren Automotive Chronograph are available at Ralph Lauren locations throughout the world retailing at $9,900 USD
