After recent reports announced that Alfred Molina will be returning as Doctor Otto Octavius, new reports have come in stating that both Andrew Garfield and Kirsten Dunst have a deal with Marvel Studios.
The casting makes no confirmation that Garfield will be dawning his web-shooters and costume once again, though it is expected that Dunst will be reprising her role as Mary Jane Watson. It also comes along with Tobey Maguire having been spotted at a costume fitting in light of speculation that he may be reprising his role from the original Spider-Man Trilogy. Additionally it’s also been speculated more recently that Charlie Cox might be reprising his role as Daredevil in the upcoming Spider-Man sequel. We also shouldn’t disregard the potential of seeing Emma Stone reprising her role as Gwen Stacy.
The still untitled sequel to Marvel’s Spider-Man is expected to bring into play the “Spider-Verse” and will feature Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange filling the role of a mentor for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker in light of the void left by Tony Stark and Nick Fury
Spider-Man 3, directed by Jon Watts is scheduled-to-be-released on Dec. 17th, 2021.
