Earlier today, it was reported that the systems of Google, Stadia, Gmail, YouTube, Google Play, Discord and many others had gone offline. Services connected to Google such as Pokémon Go also appeared to be down. Though at the time of the reports the Google Search function appeared to be unaffected.
At the time of the initial reports, tests showed that the Google services showed non-specific 500 errors. The DownDetector site reported seeing spikes in outage reports from Google Drive, YouTube, Stadia and Gmail amongst many others. The problems were reported in both the U.S. and U.K. implying that this affected many across the world.
The issue may have been linked to Google accounts themselves as the YouTube site would still work, provided there was nobody signed in as the user. It would also be easily accessed via incognito mode.
Currently the Google services stated above are back online as well as Discord. No comments or statements have been released by Google.
