What’s The Newest LEGO Museum Piece From Jumpei Mitsui

Jumpei Mitsui, a Certified LEGO Master, has just revealed his newest LEGO sculpture. The set is a throwback to the Japanese Edo-period with a recreation of Hokusai’s Ukiyo-e print: “The Great Wave off Kanagawa in LEGO Brick form.

The giant wave is featured in magnificent detail with a talon-like crest that that appears in white and blue as it crosses paths with 3 wooden boats with Mt. Fuji placed in the background. Since the sculpture was made with LEGO Bricks, the whole set is 3-Dimensional and can be seen in completed form from all angles.

Those of us living in The Land of the Rising Sun can view the set displayed in the Osaka’s HANKYU BRICK MUSEUM.
