OMEGA, as an expansion on a 9-year partnership with Orbis International has decided to construct 2 new special-edition De Ville Tresor watches. The nonprofit organization seeks to prevent blindness and preserving sight.
Both versions of the De Ville Tresor timepiece builds off us the sleek formal-styled 40mm De Ville Tresor silhouette featuring a stainless steel case that boasts either regular bezel, or a diamond-set variation encompassing a domed gradient blue dial as a way of honoring the Orbis signature color. Both of the polished watch hands and indices are available in an 18-karat white gold, with an in-house Calibre 8511 showcases an 18-karat red gold balance bridge.
As another nod to Orbis, the date wheel’s number 8 at the 6o’clock mark has been exchanged for an emblem of the Orbis Teddy Bear that is provided to children who are undergoing eye surgery as a form of comfort. Part of the retail price of the collaborative pieces will also be contributing towards a Flying Eye Hospital that raises funds for Orbis, alongside its medical professional staff.
The special edition OMEGA x Orbis De Ville Tresor watches will be made available soon on the OMEGA website.
