Less than a week following the announcement of a Yū Yū Hakusho live action series, Netflix is maintaining its attention towards anime properties via adding on Marvel Anime: Wolverine and Marvel Anime: X-Men to its roster.
This is only the latest in Netflix’s expanding anime catalogue the 2 series are a part of a partnership 2010-2011 collaboration between Japanese animation studio Madhouse and Marvel Entertainment. The 12-episode series is led by Warren Ellis and provides a new outlook on the iconic Marvel Superheroes with the storylines set in Japan. In Marvel Anime: Wolverine, follows James “Logan” Howlett’s search t reclaim the love of his life. Marvel Anime: X-Men will be following the iconic superhero team led by Charles Xavier as they are joined together and brought to Japan in order to face off against the U-Men, a cult that harvests mutant organs to build the strength of their army.
