Standout features include a trek around the lobby of Princess Peach’s castle, which showcases paintings on the wall relating to the levels from Super Mario 64 and ‘Mount Beanbole’ which is a building that bears resemblance to the classic 2-D arcade games. Characters such as Toad, Yoshi and Goomba appear throughout the theme park’s attractions and rides.
Miyamoto also presents a wrist device called the “Power -Up Band” that can b linked with a smartphone app allowing for new experiences and discoveries inside the park. The wristband also serves the purpose of a progress tracker as they move about the park. And last but not least, the gift shop, which is heavily stocked with Mario-themed merchandise.
