According to sources, the 2010 mixtape “The Marathon” from Nipsey Hussle will be getting its own live visual album experience next year.
The announcement came from the late rapper’s entourage stating that th event will be held in partnership with Okidoki and will offer fans an “intimate look at the era that helped shape this masterpiece. The people, the places, the stories, and more.”
The Marathon Clothing group took to Instagram to say: “Today marks 10 years since the release of #TheMarathon. A project our team holds near and dear to our hearts for many reasons,” they continued. “It represents the story of Nipsey’s resilience and unwavering faith in his mission, and the authenticity and honesty in his message. It also was the first seed planted in the Marathon brand that gave fruit to many other branches that Nipsey architected, as only he could do.”
The Marathon was the 5th mixtape overall from Nipsey and was the first mixtape of his to enter the Billboard 200 taking the number 179 spot.
